In questa settimana abbiamo letto, risposto a 1200 e-mail. Gli utenti e gli appassionati si sono dimostrati costantemente interessati all’evento promosso dall’Automobile Club Palermo, visitando per ben ventimila volte la pagina facebook Targa Racing Club. Grande successo anche su Instagram, con 15.000 utenti che hanno visionato i contenuti pubblicati, e sul sito web www.targaracingclub.it con più di 17.000 interazioni.
In this week we have read and answered about 1200 emails. Users and fans have been constantly interested in the event promoted by Automobil Club Palermo, visiting almost twenty thousand times the facebook page “Targa Racing Club”. Great success also on Instagram, with fifteen thousand visitors who have viewed the published content, and on the website www.targaracingclub.it with more than seventeen thousand interactions.
Da tempo la nostra più grande ambizione era quella di avvicinare la storia ultracentenaria della Targa Florio a tutti, cancellando le distanze geografiche che spesso impongono limiti difficilmente colmabili. Il virus Covid-19 ha accentuato maggiormente queste distanze, costringendo anche l’Automobil Club Palermo a posticipare la 104a Targa Florio Rally a data da destinarsi, e quindi di comune accordo con gli organizzatori de “A Cursa”, abbiamo deciso di creare la prima edizione ufficiale della Targa Florio Rally in versione eSport.
For a long time, our greatest ambition was to bring the history of the Targa Florio to everyone, closing the geographical distances that often impose limits and difficulties. The virus Covid-19 has increased these distances, forcing even the Automobil Club Palermo to postpone the 104th Targa Florio Rally to a date to be allocated. Then, by common agreement with the organizers of “A Cursa”, we decided to create the first official edition of the Targa Florio Rally in eSport version.
Le grandi potenzialità che il world wide web offre ci ha permesso di esportare la nostra gara in Francia, Inghilterra, Scozia, Portogallo, Svizzera, Olanda, Macedonia, Estonia e naturalmente Italia, raggiungendo lo strabiliante risultato di 915 iscritti.
Non mancano i nomi di spicco, fra cui è giusto citare per prima chi ha già inciso il proprio nome sull’albo d’oro della Targa Florio, ovvero Simone Campedelli, Totò Riolo ed Andrea Nucita. Ospite d’eccezione il Campione Europeo Rally 2019 Chris Ingram, che ha accettato amichevolmente di prendere parte all’evento eSport. Andrea Crugnola, grande amico della Sicilia, scenderà in campo sulla Citroen C3, in attesa di poter gareggiare coi colori di CItroen Italia sulle strade del Campionato Italiano Rally. Presenti anche i campioni italiani junior Marco Pollara e Giuseppe Testa su Ford Fiesta R2.

Special guest is the 2019 European Rally Champion Chris Ingram, who agreed to take part in the eSport event. La 1a Targa Florio Rally eSport vedrà al via 421 vetture di classe R5, 347 R2, 34 R-GT e 113 Gruppo A.
The 1st Targa Florio Rally eSport will see at the start four hundred and seventeen R5 class cars, three hundred and thirty-nine R2, thirty-three R-GT and one hundred and eleven Group A.
Dalla mezzanotte di oggi fino al sei maggio si disputerà la prima tappa di gara sugli asfalti tedeschi, mentre dal sette al dieci maggio i corridori si sfideranno sui dodici tratti cronometrati spagnoli.
